Job Description:


We have an immediate position for our client located in Peoria, IL. Data Science & Data Analytics Engineer will work at the client location to solve the tough challenges of leveraging machine time-series data to make operation more efficient and reliable. This position will report to Manager and will work with the client Leadership and the engineering team on several data analytics and data science projects.


This position serves as a data scientist in our workgroup building machine learning algorithms and reports that provide key insights to our customers.


Typical Day:


• Work with time-series data to support the implementation of Data Analytics and Machine Learning Algorithms using Python etc.

• Collect data from multiple data sources to build reporting tools that allow business decisions to be made

• Perform test and validation checks to ensure quality results are delivered to customers

• Participate in sprint planning and daily standups in an agile environment




• Bachelor''s Degree (Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science or related field), relevant course work with 2 - 4 years’ experience

• Master''s Degree (Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science or related field), project work, relevant course work with 1-2 years’ experience


Technical Skills Required:

• Experience in programming using statistical programming language Python(NumPy/pandas/matplotlib/sklearn/PyTorch) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

• Experience in SQL and working with corporate databases Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Db2 etc..

• Proficient in BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI to create data visualizations and reports

• Experience in ETL tools such as Tableau Prep, Snaplogic, Fivetran

• Experience in working with version control tools like Git and writing shell scripts.

• Experience in working with HTTP API and Restful API

• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

• Experience using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc. and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

• Experience using statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, NLP, etc.

• Experience with OSI PI Tools is plus
